This apartment is pretty nice - I don't quite understand the bad reviews it gets. We had a lovely, large window with a calm view over a green area (although a bit loud in summer by ~8am with the windows opened on the weekday as there is a kindergarten just across with noisy kids). Room was fine and price-quality ratio was reasonable by Amsterdam's ridiculously expensive standards. Location is convenient, just outside the central "conquered by tourists" canal area of Amsterdam. Staff were friendly. We rented their bikes which was convenient, although we didn't book far enough in advance and needed to get one elsewhere (a ~5-8 min walk) which turned out to be a little cheaper for a similar quality bike. Anyway the staff member recommended that as an option to us straight away, as they do book out all of their bikes pretty quickly. It definitely deserves more than its 3.0 star rating on Google. I vaguely remember that they also have like an "ultra budget room" category, so ... don't book the "ultra budget room" if you want something nice? We booked a standard double which looked just like in their advertising photos.

Our stay at the Quentin England Hotel was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The room we had was modern and well-appointed, with a pleasing layout and excellent showers. One of the highlights of this hotel is its fantastic location. Situated near Leidseplein, it is just a short walk away from a variety of breakfast spots and shops, making morning meals and shopping a breeze. Additionally, the proximity to the tram stop, providing easy access to Central Station, is a major plus. Our football team chose to stay here as well, and everyone was equally impressed with the hotel. The consensus among us was that the Quentin England Hotel provided a great base for our Amsterdam visit, combining comfort, style, and convenience in a fantastic way. We would definitely recommend it to others and would love to stay here again on our next visit.

Ticked all our boxes..we wanted quiet but central. We wanted easy transport links. We wanted a charming quiet 3 nights in a cozy , clean room with balcony overlooking garden. We got all of the above and more. Value for money. Staff who go above and beyond. Direct bus from the airport stops a few mins walk and it’s a stones throw from great shopping, museums ect .. you can’t ask for a better location within this budget imo!! our room was traditionally small and compact but it’s done well with small furniture and the balcony could easily accommodate 4. Room attendant didn’t bother us at all until we had gone out for the day-great service! Clean towels daily. Kettle & supplies was an unexpected bonus. Room safe, key entry on front door. I love this little gem and I will most defiantly be returning.

I absolutely loved the location. I had a work trip at Vondelkerk which was only a 4min walk. The staff was super friendly and helpful. After the first day they would address me by name or room number. I had a few issues with my room key and each time I was help with politeness and attentiveness. The staff (manager included) are great! I will stay there again just because of their hospitality. Side Note: It was the managers birthday and they saved me a piece of cake. It doesn't get any friendlier than this :)

We booked the hotel at the last minute and we were pleasantly surprised. The location is 10/10, in my opinion in the best area of Amsterdam - coffees, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, street food, parks, museums, etc. are very close by. There were all kind of transport but you shouldn’t be needing any because of the great location. The staff is very friendly and kind and let us left our luggage there and go sightseeing. The rooms are clean and the wi-fi is very good. Totally recommend.
